Women in Science and Engineering (WISE)
The Clemson Women In Science and Engineering (WISE) program mission is to effectively prepare upcoming professionals for successful careers in STEM. We seek to achieve this goal by providing a variety of professional development, mentoring, tutoring, and social and community-building events and opportunities.
As the WISE Residence (WISER) Graduate Community Director from 2016-2017, I helped to plan and coordinate professional development events, which included informational sessions on how to network, how to prepare for an interview, how to apply to and afford graduate school, and how to find summer research and employment opportunities. I also served as a mentor for a group of about 40 sophomore women. Serving as the WISER Graduate Community Director has truly been a highlight of my graduate career, and I look forward to continuing to support the WISE program here at Clemson, and beyond.
